Our Services

All Services

  • IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter;  and specialized blood tests for all life stages.  Laboratory tests performed on older animals include blood work, urinalysis and sometimes radiographs.   These tests are helping us to prolong the high quality of life your pets deserve.  As these tests become more and more sophisticated, pets are living longer and more healthy lives.  Please ask one of our veterinarians how you can monitor your pet's health through laboratory tests the next time your pet is in to visit us.

  • DENTAL CLEANINGS & SURGERY

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. All dental procedures require general anesthesia and pre-anesthesia blood tests. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Extractions, when necessary, are performed by the veterinarian.  Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.  If advanced dental care is needed we can refer your pet to a veterinary dentist, a veterinarian who specializes in such things as root canals, filings and oral surgery.

  • FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.

  • SPAY, NEUTER, SURGERY

We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. Pre-operative blood screening is an essential element in helping us to ascertain the safety of the procedure your pet is about to undergo.  All patients are carefully screened with pre-operative blood tests and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: Fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; oxygen saturation monitors and individual after surgery care.

  • RADIOLOGY

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

  • BOARDING

Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified kennel attendants do the same when you can't be there.  Our boarding capabilities are limited by our small facility so book early if you know you will be needing to board your pet with us.

  • INTERNAL MEDICINE

Our veterinarians are general practitioners.  We have the expertise and testing ability to diagnose and treat most problems that we are presented with.  If, however, it is necessary to refer your pet to a specialist we have good, working relationships with specialists throughout the greater metropolitan area in such specialties as Internal medicine, Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology and others.

  • PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

  • HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES

Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

  • MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

  • COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE

One of our veterinarians, Dr. Jane Morse, embraces the holistic approach to pet health and wellness. She balances traditional medicine with acupuncture and herbal therapies.  If you are interested in a holistic approach to your pet's health care, please make an appointment with Dr. Morse.

  • GROOMING

We do a limited amount of grooming.  We bathe dogs but do not clip or groom them.  We do trim dog's nails and clean their anal sacs.  Feline grooming is limited to those cats who require anesthesia for a bath or a shave down.
